Caregivers Job Duties
As a Caregiver, you will follow a written care plan under the supervision of a Care Manager to support clients safety and well-being. Specific responsibilities include:
Establish relationships with clients and families to promote well-being, and encourages client independence as appropriate
Assist in all activities of daily living, including bathing, eating, ambulating, dressing, toileting, transferring, and assistance with medication
Provide recreational and leisure time activities to clients, including accompanying clients on trips out of the home for shopping, meals, appointments, and other recreational activities
Perform tasks associated with household maintenance, including cleaning, laundry, bed-making, grocery shopping, meal preparation, dusting, vacuuming, and washing floors
Prepare and file accurate logs and notes as required in the care plan, including information on completed tasks, progress updates, and descriptions of any client health or condition changes
Compensation & Benefits:
Must be at least 18 years-old to apply
A valid driver s license, car insurance and good driving record is required
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience working with elderly or disabled persons is preferred
Personal care assistant training, advanced personal care assistant training, certification as a nurse's aide or related training also is preferred, but not required
For CNA and APCA Caregivers, training in Hoyer Lift, Sit to Stand, Nebulizer, Blood Glucose Testing, Insulin Pen and oxygen is required
For PCA Caregivers, completion of a Direct Care Competency program is required
