Responsible for safety, security, health and regulatory programs
on site including, but not limited to, process safety management / risk management
plans, emissions permitting and reporting, and support of ongoing safety
Responsible for managing overall operating expenses, capital
projects and expenditures and budgets.
Proven ability to maintain an excellent working relationship with
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key decision
makers with pet food manufacturers and suppliers.
Collaborates effectively with peers across his/her company
including Finance, QA/Food Safety, Logistics, Human Resources and Operations to
achieve financial commitments and operational excellence.
Responsible for supervising/developing [MO1] direct reports in areas of Production,
Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse operations.
Directs and approves production schedules to meet the demands of
Oversees plant performance metrics and is responsible for
continuous improvement activities at the site. Develops and tracks Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improvement plans against them.
Directs the proper hiring and training of all employees.
Prepares and submits the timely delivery of activity and monthly
reports to keep Senior Management and others informed about the status of plant
Education & Experience level
Bachelors degree engineering, business, or related discipline. An
MBA is a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in food
manufacturing environment. A minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising
the work of and coaching others.
